I have a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Physiology from SF State. I found my spark for neurology research working as an undergrad in the Crook Lab studying sensation and cognition in cephalopods. Post graduation, I began taking classes at CCSF to gain more hands on lab skills, but I built a lovely community taking classes while working as a lab aide for the biotech courses. I'm excited to say I'll be in the CIRM Stem Cell Internship cohort for 2026-27, lab TBA. After that, a PhD program or position as a research assistant is on the horizon for me.
This semester I learned Python and pose estimation deep learning software basics. I prefer to use my wet lab skills that include cell culture, dissection, ELISA, Western Blot, etc. I'm also a personable communicator, team member and leader. I bring patience, compassion and a positive attitude to the workplace.
