Workforce Highlights
3Cheers! Committee in full swing
The 3Cheers! Committee hosted 4 employee engagement events (Halloween lunch & door decorating, desert day, holiday cookie bake-off, and holiday party).
Continued efforts for inclusive interviewing
100% of interview packets for supervisors included inclusive interview FAQ sheet with resources and all candidates are asked a question related to experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Annual all-staff meeting
88% of full time staff attended the annual all-staff meeting. The day included trainings on accreditation, DE&I, emergency preparedness and an update from 3Cheers!
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion training
During the annual all-staff meeting, staff participated in a two hour poverty simulator hosted by CAPCO and attended a DE&I panel of experts on race, disability, and gender/sexual orientation.

Communication Highlights
Data & community informed marketing
A review of 2023 marketing campaigns in Q4 found that at least 6 CCHD programs and 3 CHIP focus area marketing campaigns conducted some type of formative research (literature reviews, use of local data, surveys, or focus groups). At least 8 media channels are used by these campaigns.
Success on Instagram
Expansion efforts to TikTok and Instagram have continued with one Instagram video for our Injury Prevention & Traffic Safety program reaching a record 11,100 views and 241 likes!
Engaged with media
We submitted 3 press releases and provided 7 interviews or comments to the media this Quarter! The press release on the Lead Poisoning Needs Assessment in October led to at least 7 and counting news spots.
Promoted our services
Represented CCHD and our services on 22 community coalitions or taskforces, participated in 8 community coalition or taskforce projects, and attended 51 community events to promote CCHD services.

Collaboration Highlights
Presented on Breast Cancer Facts & Disparities to BOH
At the October Board of Health meeting, The Cancer Services staff presented "Get the Facts on Breast Cancer," including information related to specific demographic groups disproportionally impacted by breast cancer.
Expanded CHIP newsletter
The Community Health Improvement Plan quarterly newsletter email list was increased to 276 recipients from all sectors of the community. A newsletter was sent out in October 2023 with Quarter 2 CHIP updates.
