For this assignment, we were grouped into pairs to research two different locations outside of the United States and compare and contrast how the two use and access technology.
I decided to research Sweden, while my partner researched Kenya.
An interesting fact I learned about Sweden while doing research for this project was that they get about 1,000 hours less sunshine than we do in the United States. An interesting fact I learned about Kenya through this project is that the climate there is based on three regions: one is very hot, one is cold, and the other experiences heavy rainfall.
I learned a lot about both countries and their technology usage that I wouldn't have known without doing this project. I also learned how to use Word's citation feature. My partner and I collaborated by sharing our research documents with each other via email, then working on our PowerPoint when we both had time. I learned how to collaborate with someone who has a different schedule than mine, and we worked as best as we could separately, adding feedback or emailing for more information for the other to read when they could.
