Lleva más de cinco minutos en la esquina de enfrente, mirando hacia la puerta sin saber qué hacer: si entrar ahora o volver mañana con las mismas dudas de hoy.

Respira hondo y comienza a andar. Cruza la calle sin apenas mirar a los lados y, tras unos metros de acera, empuja la puerta con miedo.

Ya está.

Le indican que se siente un momento en el sofá que hay en la sala, que enseguida le atienden.

Mientras espera, observa las obras de arte que cubren las paredes, unos dibujos que rara vez se expondrán en los museos pero que, en la mayoría de las ocasiones, serán vistos por mucha más gente.

No será su caso porque el suyo solo lo verá ella, nadie más.

Al menos eso piensa ahora.

A los pocos minutos le hacen pasar a otra sala, más pequeña, más oscura, más íntima...

Y en cuanto entra, lo ve.

Acostado sobre la mesa, grande, muy grande, lo suficiente para que le cubra toda la espalda: un dragon gigante. 

He has been standing on the corner in front of the door for more than five minutes, staring at the door, not knowing what to do: whether to go in now or come back tomorrow with the same doubts as today.

He takes a deep breath and starts walking. He crosses the street without hardly looking to the sides and, after a few meters on the sidewalk, he pushes the door with fear.

That's it.

He is told to sit down for a moment on the sofa in the living room, where he will soon be attended to.

While he waits, he looks at the works of art that cover the walls, drawings that will rarely be exhibited in museums but which, more often than not, will be seen by many more people.

This will not be her case because hers will only be seen by her, no one else.

At least that's what she thinks now.

A few minutes later, she is shown into another room, smaller, darker, more intimate...

And as soon as she enters, she sees him.

Lying on the table, big, very big, big enough to cover his whole back: a giant dragon.

Bueno, pues al final no ha sido él, sino ella.

Y eso me ha dado aún más vergüenza porque además era guapa. Y claro, que me haya visto así, con el pijama este tan cutre del hospital, sin pelo en la cabeza, con las heridas de la cara...

Ha entrado sonriendo, se ha presentado y, después de hablar con mis padres unos minutos, se ha quedado a solas

conmigo en la habitación.

Se ha sentado a mi lado, en la butaca en la que duerme todas las noches mi madre.

Durante un rato me ha estado explicando qué es un psicólogo y qué es lo que hace.

Yo escuchaba sin decir nada, hasta que me ha preguntado si tenía alguna duda, y entonces, no sé muy bien por qué, le he contestado.

—Yo no estoy loco. 

Well, in the end it wasn't him, but her.

And that made me even more embarrassed because she was also beautiful. And of course, that she saw me like that, with those crappy pajamas from the hospital, with no hair on my head, with the wounds on my face?

She came in smiling, introduced herself and, after talking to my parents for a few minutes, she was alone with me in the room.

He sat next to me, in the armchair where my mother sleeps every night.

For a while he explained to me what a psychologist is and what he does.

I listened without saying anything, until he asked me if I had any doubts, and then, I don't know why, I answered him.
