Mundane Matters
Mundane Matters
Everyday objects.
Why do people text while they move?
A dangerous thing this will prove.
With swerving away
From where they should stay
These people will end their own groove.
Peering down at the straggly carpet
I see multitudes of inchoate forms.
My extreme shock makes me about to sweat
Till I realize what are these things like worms.
They cover bits of our house in shadow
and traverse through the playful cat's dark throat.
Off our bouncing heads they normally flow
In all the colors of a lively moat.
They shield the cover of our thinking caps
and tell personality through style.
However, they can clog the vacuum flaps
when ridding our living of smelly bile.
If you didn't know first, now you should see
I'm describing hairballs' diversity.
