Castles in the Air is a collection of personal poetry that originated largely in school assignments prior to 2018. Through the years, however, poetry has come to mean much more to me than an alternate mode of writing. I love it as an art form that allows me to work with "pure thought-stuff," just as I do when programming (in the words of Frederick Brooks Jr. in The Mythical Man-Month). Every letter, space, and line-break is rich with the potential for meaning that can build up (or break down). I also cherish poetry as a way for me to reflect through all seasons of my life.
It is my prayer that these poems, while sometimes clumsy, raw, or rough, may be a blessing to you. I encourage you to think critically about the ideas presented and reflect on the topics in your own life. Then write a poem of your own and share it to those around you!
