Things are Popping on the 2019 National Convention

We took a tour the other day of the meeting rooms and facilities at Little America in anticipation of the 2019 National NMRA Convention. They have beautiful facilities. Plenty of meeting space for Clinic, offices, gathering places for Tour, and so on. 

The Chairmen are meeting regularly. We have over 80 clinics scheduled, and things are looking good.  

We still need people to step-up, pitch-in, and be willing to participate as committee members, clinic presenters, and lend a hand elsewhere as needed.

This will be the first time the NMRA National Convention has ever been held in Utah. You probably will want to be a part of it, so why not get in on the fun assisting in the planning and execution of this once in a lifetime experience.

The Non-Rail / General Interest Activities Chairwoman is Cindy Lund. She has the pleasure of showing off our beautiful area to many people who have never been here before. She can’t do it alone. There are tours, points of interest, and fun things to do and share with our out of town guests. For instance: Lagoon, Museums, “Dinosaurs” at the new Natural History Museum, concerts, theater, and so much more. 

Having the world’s largest Family History Library for genealogical research is of great interest to people from all over the world. There is all that Temple Square has to offer such as Tabernacle Choir rehearsals, great places to have dinner or lunch at the restaurants atop the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, soak up the history and tour the Lion House or Beehive House, or just enjoy the beautiful gardens. We have great places to play such as our brand new Eccles Theater with Broadway productions, the USANA Amphitheater, the Golden Spike National Monument, and our Salt Lake Bees AAA baseball. The list is endless.
