The Mini Makers Fair took place in August at the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum and the New Mexico RailrunNers participated with a small layout that included Disneyland, built and operated by Doug Gary.
The September meeting featured an outstanding program on "Background Painting" given by Lynn Garrison. Lynn also gave this program at the Regional Convention in Colorado Springs in October.
Division 6 members participated in the ATSF #2926 Steam Locomotive Open House in late September. The display for the Division was manned by Charlie Baker and Lynn Garrison.
Six members of the New Mexico Rail RunNers traveled to Greeley and the Colorado Model Railroad Museum the first weekend in October for their semi-annual trip to run trains on the Museum layout. These Museum Volunteers have been going to Greeley twice a year since the Museum opened in 2009.
The Tucumcari Railroad Days, held the weekend of October 21-23, saw two layouts from Albuquerque - ASHOME (HO) and New Mexico Rail RunNers (N) set up in the restored Depot. Members enjoyed running trains on their layouts, and seeing about 25 Union Pacific trains flying through town just outside.
The next big event is the Rails Along The Rio Grande 2016 Train Show to be held at the Sid Cutter Pilots' Pavilion at Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque, November 19 & 20.
Members are hard at work preparing for the Show. Co-Chairmen Charlie Baker and Al Hovey have everything in place and ready for the Show.
