WOW, where has the summer gone?!
A successful Region Convention has come and gone and I want to thank Gary Myersand his committee for putting together a great convention in Durango with the help of the local Silver San Juan Division members. The convention was attended by nearly 80 people and made a few dollars as well.
The National NMRA Convention in Orlando is next week and I hope many of you will be attending this year. I hope some of you will be taking models for the model contest to represent the Rocky Mountain Region and let the country know we have superb modelers in the Region.
I would like to encourage you to attend the upcoming 37th National Narrow Gauge Convention in Denver from August 30th to September 2nd, 2017. This is a great gathering of modelers from all over the world and its in our backyard, so please support them and enjoy all they have to offer.
Also, in our fair city of Denver, the Union Pacific Convention just took place, and the Rio Grande Modeling & Historical Society will have their convention on August 26th to August 30th, 2017 and is co-sponsored by the Front Range Division.
What a busy summer for the Rocky Mountain Region, and in 2 years the National NMRA Convention will be in Salt Lake City, so stay tuned and mark your calendars.
Until next time, keep the trains rolling.
