Debate Clubs
Debate enables students to practice English in an active and effective manner while developing expressive language skills. In addition, debate practice develops critical thinking, promotes understanding and acceptance of various opinions and serves as a tool for understanding global and current issues.
In 2020-21, 100 Debate groups for 9th graders will open throughout the country. Teachers will be trained to instruct and assess debating.

To sign up for an in-school Debate club please contact your regional inspector. Teachers who wish to participate in the program but have not taken the debate course, need to register for one of the courses opening in the various districts. Information about the courses and about debate competitions will be given by the regional English inspectors.
