National Broadcasts

On March 12, as an emergency response to the breakout of the Coronavirus, the Ministry of Education decided to provide a solution to school closures so that pupils would be able to continue learning.

Pedagogical advisors were appointed and teachers were recruited to write lesson plans and teaching materials.

550 English lessons were recorded for students at all levels, from 3rd-12th grades, from the basics of literacy instruction right through to Bagrut preparation.

All lessons are taught by qualified, experienced classroom teachers and are aligned with the updated national English curriculum.

Links to the taped lessons and links to the supporting power point presentations have formed a valuable resource for English teachers and are accessible on the ministry's portal and on the English inspectorate site .

The lesson recordings and the power point presentations accompanying each lesson can be used as a basis for classroom lessons and for distance learning. Additionally, teaching colleges and teachers' in-service courses can refer to them as resources for professional development
