The Bridge Orchestra is a foundation orchestra open to all instrumentalists taking lessons with BMS who can play a few notes on their instrument. Rehearsals are intended to be run in a less traditional orchestral setting. We will have fun with creative projects, composing, improvising and improving music reading skills. Bridge Orchestras are designed to prepare pupils to join the BMS Junior Ensembles when they are ready and to support them through the initial stages of learning an instrument.

Which instruments are included?

Any instrumentalists may attend, including guitarists and pianists. Pianists will be given percussion instruments to play. These could be tuned or untuned. Guitarists must play acoustic guitars.

How do I join?

Click on the link below and complete the form for the ensemble you would like to join. Your details will be passed to the leader of that ensemble and you should hear from them within a week (during term time).
