IU Children's Choir

The Indiana University Children's Choir is committed to educating children in the western tradition of great choral music while also exposing them to a wide variety of musical cultures from around the world. Dr. Brent Gault serves as the program director. IUCC's Chamber Choir recorded BloomingSongs in 2017, 2018, and 2019 under the direction of Sarah Miller (2017-2018) and Charles Snell (2019).

This Azerbaijani folk song was arranged for choir by composer, Jahangir Jahangirov. Aida Huseynova who played piano with the choir, a performance that features an improvisatory mugham interlude typical of Azerbaijani traditional music.
