Canción para Alba

So I made you a tango; just like what Alba made for me. This is what happened to me on my first flight in Canción:

There is some careful flying in the beginning (where am I anyway?), followed by some big careful running steps backwards... then forward... all carefully... a little faster... flying... less carefully... (oh! Is that how you land?!) oh oh, wait a minute... this is really squishy... and a little dark... I’m not sure if I like this... ah! Thank you, you skinny beam of sunlight!... (is that a violin?!)...

Canción para Alba

Canción para Alba is a song written for an amazing lady called Alba, who, as I write, is sailing away to somewhere very far away: to a place where dreams come from, where peace is born. Many of her friends whom she has not visited in a long time shall be waiting for her there; they will be excited to see each other again.

My friend Alba is a true wonder: She has a voice that can tell stories. There are a few words she would put into that story; but when she sings, you stop. With nothing more than her voice, she would open up this deep and wide, squishy and warm space for you, the listening ones, to come in and play — no worries, it is very safe; I was there. In there, you can fly, you can float, you can run... you can do anything you want. It is super fun. She made that space for me once. She wants me to make that space for you now.

Have a great flight, kids! There is only one way to find out where you are going!
