SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY

St Valentine’s Day is an anual festival to celebrate romantic love, friendship and admiration. Every year on 14th February people celebrate this day by sending messages of love and affection to partners, family and friends. Couples send Valentine’s cards and flowers and spend special time together to honour their love to each other.

At our school we celebrated this holiday with different activities. Some non linguistic areas worked on the festivity with videos or reading texts about the origin of Saint Valentine’s day or its traditions, activities with love songs in English or vocabulary related to the topic.

Related to the Curriculum Integrated for languages, students also worked with love poems. You can go to the specific page here.

El Día de San Valentín es una fiesta anual para celebrar el amor romántico, la amistad y la admiración. Cada año el 14 de febrero la gente celebra este día enviando mensajes de amor y afecto a sus parejas, familia y amistades. Las parejas envían tarjetas de San Valentín y flores y pasan unos momentos muy especiales juntos para celebrar el amor que se profesan.

En nuestro centro celebramos esta festividad con diferentes actividades. Las Áreas No Lingüísticas trabajaron con vídeos o textos sobre el origen del Día de San Valentín o sus tradiciones, actividades con canciones de amor en inglés o vocabulario relacionado con el tema.

En relación al Curriculum Integrado de las Lenguas, el alumnado también trabajó con poemas y frases de amor. Puede ver la pagína específica pinchando aquí.
