LANGUAGE ASSISTANT
Hello, everyone! My name is Baker Wells, and I am thrilled to be the language assistant at El Tablero for the 2023-2024 school year! I am from Little Rock, the capital city of the state of Arkansas in the United States.
I studied history and Spanish while in college, which included spending a month in Madrid and a semester abroad in Buenos Aires. I received a master’s degree in teaching, then taught social studies in the US for a few years before deciding to become a language assistant in Spain. As someone interested in history, I am so excited to be in Córdoba and enjoy all the rich history this region has!
Some of my hobbies include hiking, floating, traveling, meeting new people, collecting records, attending sporting events, camping, running, basketball, ping-pong, and reading!
I am so excited to work with you all, and I look forward to helping the students here at El Tablero practice their English!
¡Hola a todos/as! Me llamo Baker Wells y estoy muy contento de ser el auxiliar de conversación en El Tablero este curso 2023-24. Soy de Little Rock, la capital del estado de Arkansas, en los Estados Unidos.
Estudié Historia y Español en la facultad, incluyendo un mes de estancia en Madrid y un semestre en Buenos Aires. Tengo un Master en Enseñanza y estuve dando clases de sociales en los Estados Unidos durante algunos años antes de decidir convertirme en auxiliar de conversación en España. Como cualquier interesado en historia, estoy muy emocionado al estar en Córdoba y disfrutar de la rica historia de esta zona.
Algunos de mis hobbies son el senderismo, montar en kayak y canoa, viajar, conocer a gente nueva, coleccionar discos de vinilo, ver eventos deportivos, ir de acampada, correr, jugar al baloncesto y al ping-pong y leer.
