Roseville - St. Paul loop
A road and trail ride.

This is a loop ride that is mostly on trails and that passes by numerous lakes and through several parks. The route heads south through Shoreview on trails in Snail Lake Regional Park, passing by Grass Lake. The route next passes through Roseville on residential roads before connecting with a trail in the Reservoir Woods Park in Roseville. The road then turns east on the trails before exiting the park on a road on the south side of McCarrons Lake. The route next connects with the Trout Creek Trail and heads south into St Paul. After a short road section, the route continues on a trail in the Trout Creek Nature Sanctuary. At the end of that trail, the route turns east and connects to the Vento Trail heading northeast along Phalen Blvd. The route follows the Vento Trail north back to Maplewood and then turns west on roads to Vadnais Lake. The route returns to Shoreview via the trails near Vadnais and Sucker Lakes. Much of the route is relatively flat but there are several hilly sections in Roseville. The road sections of the route are on roads with good shoulders.
Directions:
Go east from Shoreview CC on Hwy 96 to Snail Lake Blvd.
Go south and turn onto a trail east of Snail Lake.
Go south on the trail past Gramsie Rd to I-694 bridge.
Take trail under bridge and turn east on Cardigan Rd.
Turn south on Harriet Ave and go to Dale St.
Turn west at Arbogast Ave and then south on W.Owasso Blvd.
Continue to Victoria St and turn south.
Take Victoria St south to Roselawn Ave, turning east on a trail going into Reservoir Woods Park.
Follow the trail to S.McCarrons Blvd going east to Rice St.
Turn north and then cross Rice St to the Trout Creek Trail near the SP Regional Water Services building.
Follow the trail past Larpenteur Ave to the intersection of Jackson St and Arlington Ave.
Take Jackson St south to the Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary trail.
Take the trail south to the intersection of Cayuga St and L'Orient St.
Go east on Cayuga St to Phalen Blvd.
Follow the trail along Phalen Blvd to Johnson Pkwy.
Cross Johnson Pkwy and ride north on the Vento Trail.
Continue on the Vento Trail to Cty Rd D.
Go west on the trail adjacent to Cty Rd D, crossing Hwy 61.
Continue west on Cty Rd D to Edgerton St.
Turn north on Edgerton St and continue to Vadnais Blvd
Turn west on Vadnais Blvd and continue to Vadnais Snail Lakes Regional Trail.
Turn north and follow the trail to Cty Rd F.
Cross Cty Rd F and follow the trail north past Sucker Lake to Hwy 96.
Turn west on Hwy 96 and continue to the Shoreview CC.
