Centerville loop

A road and trail ride.

Approximate distance: 20 mi


This ride goes northeast of Shoreview to Centerville and then returning to Shoreview via trails in Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park and in Lino Lakes near Chomonix golf course and Rice Creek Elementary School. The road portions of the route all have wide paved shoulders with the exception of a short road segment on Ash St in Lino Lakes. The entire route is mostly flat.


Directions:

  • Go north from Shoreview CC to Tanglewood Dr.

  • Go east on Tanglewood Dr to Hodgson Rd Connect.

  • Go north on Hodgson Rd Connect to Hodgson Rd.

  • Continue north on Hodgson Rd to Turtle Lake Rd.

  • Turn east on Turtle Lake Rd and follow it east and then north to Sherwood Rd.

  • Turn east on Sherwood Rd and follow it east and then north to Ash St.

  • Turn east on Ash St and go a short distance to Holly Dr N.

  • Turn north on Holly Dr N and follow it north and east to 12th Ave S.

  • Turn north onto 12th Ave S and go to Birch St.

  • Turn east on Birch St and go to Centerville Rd.

  • Turn north on Centerville Rd and go to Heritage St in Centerville.

  • Turn west on Heritage St and go a short distance to Lamotte Dr.

  • Turn southwest on Lamotte Dr and go to the trail at the entrance of Laurie Lamotte Memorial Park.

  • Follow the trail as it curves south and west into Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park.

  • Follow the trail west to near the Centerville Lake Boat Launch and turn west on an intersecting trail.

  • Follow this trail to W Shadow Lake Dr.

  • Turn south on W Shadow Lake Dr and then west onto Sandpiper Dr and then a trail that goes in Chomonix golf course.

  • Ride past the golf course visitor's center and turn north on Aqua Ln.

  • Quickly take a trail to the right of Aqua Ln and follow it over a wetlands bridge to another trail.

  • Follow the trail to an intersecting trail going south past Aqua Ln.

  • Follow this trail south over another wetlands bridge and arrive at Rice Creek Elementary School.

  • Just past the school, turn west on a trail along Birch St and go to Ware Rd.

  • Turn south on Ware Rd and go to Ash St.

  • Cross Ash St and continue south on Mackubin St.

  • Continue south taking a short trail section over a bridge to Stephens Cir.

  • Turn east on Bucher Ave and then south on Evergreen Ln.

  • Turn west at Sherwood Rd and then south on Donegal Dr.

  • Turn east at Turtle Lake Rd and then south on Hodson Rd and return to the Shoreview CC.
