Jack Doohan is an Australian racing driver born and raised in Gold Coast. Doohan is the son of Mick Doohan, a five-time Moto GP world champion, in which you can say the racing talent runs in the family. Doohan began his racing journey at the age of 9, karting with a go-kart gifted by the seven-time world champion legend, Michael Schumacher. His single-seater debut was in the 2018 British F4 championship where he finished as the champion. He then also competed in Italian F4, ADAC F4 and Asian F3. In 2020, Doohan competed in the FIA Formula 3, finishing as the runner-up in the championship the following year. He then joined Alpine’s driver development programme in the 2020 season, along with finishing sixth in his FIA F2 rookie season. In the following season, Doohan claimed his spot as third with three race wins in the championship. Jack Doohan has now been promoted to F1, and will be racing alongside teammate, Pierre Gasly in the 2025 season. However, Doohan will have to prove his talent in order to secure his spot, especially with reserve driver Franco Colapinto being a “threat” to his career.
