The top three spots are all the same in this week's Composite Top 25 Rankings as #1 Vanderbilt (13-3), #2 Oregon State (12-1-1), and #3 UCLA (11-3) all had winning weekends. Of most note for these teams is Oregon State's 11-inning, 4-4 tie with #17 Coastal Carolina (13-3-1) at the Seattle Baseball Showcase, where a strict time limit for games was enforced. Rounding out the top five are #4 Stanford (12-3), who had a nice 3-1 series win over #15 Texas (12-6), and #5 Mississippi State (15-1).
Re-entering the top ten is #8 Texas Tech (11-3). They put up 42 runs in their three-game sweep of Wichita State (5-9). Moving up four spots and into the top ten for this first time this season is #9 Ole Miss (12-3) who had a nice sweep of UAB (9-7). The series included the odd Sunday pitchers's duel (final was 2-1).
#12 North Carolina (12-4, 0-3) dropped eight spots after getting swept at #20 Clemson (12-3, 3-0) who moved up five spots in the rankings. Two of those wins were in walk-off fashion, including a two-out two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth on Sunday. Another notable mover is #24 Tennessee (15-1) who moved up four spots. Dspite losing their undefeated season, they still earned the 2-1 series win over Fresno State (7-5).
