For Week Six, we've switched over to RPI for our power rankings, While it's not a perfect metric, it is important for making the postseason. No matter how you look at it though the SEC (average team ranking of 30.6) is the best conference in the country. #2 Pac-12 (55.5) and #3 Big XII (65.3) have seen the gap between them and the SEC continue to grow. In fourth, the ACC (71.2) has it's best ranking of the year. Moving into the top five for the first time is the Missouri Valley Conference (84.3).
