The theme of the last session was ''Cooperative and collabotative work''. At the beginning of the session we were introduced with the objectives of the lesson:
describe the purpose and benefits of project and cooperative activities;
explore various ways to develop cooperative activities;
exchange ideas for project work and cooperative activities;
adapt and differentiate cooperative activities;
Then the CT Dilnoza played an interesting game with us ''Magic box''. We should write our favourite activity on a sheet of paper and put them into the box. After this, we chose one paper from the box and told about the activity in this paper.
Moreover,we learned how to divide groups ( by colors, by numbers , by shapes) and to divide the roles in the group( encourager ,timekeeper, manager, secretary, reporter).After watching the second video we knew about Play, Analysis, Questions which means P- purpose of the game,L- language skills, A -advance students learning, Y- yield any information about students 'comprehension. Futhermore, we learnt the next strategies ''First to five''and '' Scaffolding''.
At the end of our session was microteaching of our RPMs. It was wonderful to see all the activities which we learned during Cascading training course. It was useful for everybody to share their knowledge and ideas which will be helpful for our future work at school. After microteaching ,our CTS and RPMs evaluated their work. The next day I tried to use cooperative and collaborative work in my class with my pupils. I can say that group work helps students who have difficulty with social skills and helps us to prepare our learners for the world of work.Cooperative groups wok face-to- face and learn to work as a team.The students develop their inpersonal skills and learn to deal with conflict. Collaborative learning helps to raise achievement of students. Build positive relationships among students -important for creating a learning community that values diversity. I think ,the benefits of group working are development of thinking, oral communicaton, self-management and leadership.
