ways you plan to integrate and manage to learn activities that support a communicative approach for language learning in your classroom.
In this session I learned how to organize discussions and debates in the classroom. This session was held by the RPM Mahliyo, she taught us how to to manage cooperative activities such as: ''Pair - Square'', ''Four Corners'', ''Thumbs up/Thumbs down'' and ''Tower Build ''.The most interactive activity was ''Tower Build''.
Reflection.
I liked the ''Tower Build'' activity and decided to use it with my pupils of the 3rd grade in the classroom. I prepared logo bricks beforehand, divided my learners into four groups and explained the rules of this game. Then I gave clear instructions to the pupils. They were very happy about building the tallest building. This fantastic build a tower team-building activity encouraged creativity and teamwork. Furthermore, this activity developed the logical- thinking, communication and problem-solving skills of the students.
In my opinion, this strategy is essential that students interact with others to build those social skills which will be so important in their future lives. Team building exercises are fantastic ways to boost confidence in communicating ideas, active listening and leadership. They are also a fun way to build trust between students and promote a relaxed working environment.
