USB-I2S Converter

Chain is PC running hqplayer -> ethernet -> Allo usb signature bridge (powered by two supercap PS) -> USB -> diyinhk

I am using the diyinhk model which I used before for my Soekris DAC as described in my blog, go to the very end to see how I hooked it up there.

Using the same potato 374 octal flip flop on the same adapter board, but rewired to match the connections I need to make to the ian fifopi.

Fritzing diagram showing how I wired it up.

GPIO18 = J1 12 = bck

GPIO19 = J1 35 = lrck

GPIO21 = J1 40 = data

Ground = J1 or J2 14

pin J1 J2 J7

5V pins at front of board

MCK, LRCK, BCK and DATA are connection points

Diyinhk connected to 374 board

374 adapter board connected to pin header.  Pin header plugs into bottom of fifopi board.

Numbers of adapter board on not accurate because its bottom side.  Pin 28 is really pin 1 and so on.

connected to fifopi, with kapton tape added to adapter board.

Power Supply

DiyinHK card needs 3.3V

I used a lifepo4 battery to provide power to the DiyinHK and the 374 IC.

LM1086IT-3.3 keeps the battery charged.  I'm using USB power from the DiyinHK card to provide 5V to the 1086, then 1086 generates 3.3V to the battery.

For output stability, I put a 100uf lytic from output to ground
