Experimenting with Alcohol Inks
Digital Photography
In my Independent Study for fluid art, I experimented with various alcohol ink brands, surfaces and papers. As I practiced different techniques, I took digital photos of my work in various stages. This led to a series of abstracts from a single source worksheet paper.
Unifying Chaos
Color Selections
Both color variations and color consistencies were achieved through adjustments to hue, saturation and light levels as I put into practice themes learned in my Color Theory class. Although the original ink was from the same color palette, I was able to achieve dramatically different pieces through these modifications using Adobe Photoshop. While the color combinations are endless, I chose mostly blues and greens for water and ocean vibes.
