WHAT IS ZOMBIE INC
Zombie Inc is an expanded progression system built around custom quests, boss hunting, and long-term rewards. It adds multiple quest types with their own mechanics, challenge tracking, magazine sets, and story content. Progress is designed to be permanent and to scale from early game to endgame.
THE 3 CORE PARTS
BOSS SCORE SYSTEM (Power Progression)
Boss kills reward Boss Scores that do two things:
Unlock perk tiers using boss kill counters (normal and infested)
Grant permanent passive bonuses based on which bosses are killed (damage types, resistances, health, speed, tankiness, explosion bonuses)
Normal bosses are mainly for unlocking perk requirements.
Infested bosses are the main power farm because they grant 5x attribute score.
ZOMBIE INC QUEST SYSTEM (Gameplay Loop)
Zombie Inc quests are obtained from traders and run through tiers (1–6). Each quest type has its own mechanics, rewards, and often its own magazine series that grants permanent bonuses.
Quest types include:
Hunt (boss missions, leads into Boss Score and infested progression)
Defense (wave defense with build blocks and challenges)
Survival (timer-based endurance inside a small radius)
Vehicle Recovery (retrieve and return vehicles, high coin payout)
Mobile Defense (intel hunting using a noisy antenna that attracts enemies)
The Cult (story and ritual quest line)
Nest Demolition (explosive-focused missions)
The system also includes Challenge Groups (Monster Slayer, God Slayer, Fortress, Surviver, Car Thief, The Intercept, The Cult) that track completions and unlock reward quests and skill point paths.
THE CULT QUEST LINE (Story Progression)
The Cult is Zombie Inc’s horror narrative quest chain. It begins by finding a rare first note (2% drop chance from trash/backpacks), then crafting a ritual item and completing a linear chain of ritual quests and bosses.
Key rules and identity:
Pine Forest biome only (rituals must be done there)
Five major ritual bosses (Priest, Mother, Penitence, Farmer, Father)
Story delivered through 10 notes
Unique rewards including the Preacher heavy armor set and a one-time Cursed Bone Knife reward quest
Ritual bosses and many steps are repeatable for XP and gear rolls, but the final signature reward is one-time

Zombie Inc adds custom quest types with unique objectives, rewards, and progression. These are separate from vanilla trader quests and include boss hunting, wave defense, survival endurance, vehicle recovery, intel gathering, story rituals, and nest demolition.
HOW TO GET QUESTS
Zombie Inc quests are taken from traders. Quest difficulty is organised into tiers (1–6). Higher tiers increase difficulty and reward value.
