This guide explains how map colours represent underground resources in 7 Days to Die and Asylum / heavily modded maps. Colours appear as small squares or clusters on the map and indicate what resource is available to mine in that area.

MIXED AND SHARED RESOURCE NOTES
Iron node areas can contain additional materials when mined, including lead and small amounts of zinc depending on mod balance.
Not all resources have a unique biome colour. Some appear only as secondary materials inside iron deposits rather than as dedicated map zones.
MAP READING NOTES
Solid colour clusters indicate primary resource veins.
Small dots or mixed colouring indicate overlapping or secondary resources.
Deeper mining increases yield and chances of higher-tier materials.
Wasteland biomes contain end-game resources but significantly higher danger.
