Dr. Amanda Holland is an Assistant Professor of Practice for Family and Consumer Sciences Education in the College of Human Sciences. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor and teacher educator at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Holland graduated with a BS in FCS Education from Appalachian State University and an M. Ed. in FCS Education from East Carolina University. Upon completion of her Master's Dr. Holland moved to Texas and started work on her Ph. D. in FCS Education through Texas Tech, which she completed in 2018.
Over her nearly 15-year tenure in education, Dr. Holland has taught at both the secondary and post-secondary levels.

Recruitment and retention
Self-efficacy of teachers and their persistence in the profession
Creating a sustainable pipeline to the FCS profession
