***Distance Learning***

1. Greet the instructor with respect and a smile.

Handshake (High Five) and a hello.

***(Distant Learning...wave/ shaka sign on screen say hi)***

2. Please place your mobile device in the designated box marked

“Cell Block.”

***Use only for resources, not for texting or chatting with friends, not for gaming or social media***

3. (Students should bring their own water bottle)

Please place your water bottle in a designated area marked “H2O” on the back counter of the classroom.

***near you but not by device***

4. Students should use the bathroom/restroom during break or lunch.

No student will be allowed to use the restroom within the first 15 minutes of class - Lecture time. There will be a sign-up sheet if it is an emergency for the student to use the restroom.

***Raise your hand, private chat, (Zoom) to notify if it's an emergency to use the restroom***

5. The teacher will excuse the students for their next class/end of school.

6. If the student is sick or absent, the teacher will email the assignment(s), the assignment(s) will also be posted on Google Classroom.

7. When you hear Mr. Silvestre say, “2PAC”

“All Eyes” (of students) and students’ undivided attention should be with Mr. Silvestre.

Homework Policy

Classwork or projects that are not finished in class are considered homework and due when a specified due date is set.

Homework such as researching for a project and reviewing/studying for a an exam will be given.

Grading Policy

A = 95%-100% Excellent

A- = 90%-94% Minor edits are required

B+ = 85%-89% Far above average

B = 80%-84% Above average

B- = 79%-76% Meets middle school level work

C = 75%-70% May have a negative impact an overall GPA

F = 69% - 0% Unacceptable

PROJECTS / CLASS ASSIGNMENTS / QUIZZES / EXAMS / PORTFOLIO

*Students may revise projects & assignments for a better grade if they turned in the project or assignment on time.

***Distant Learning - Late work will only be accepted a week after the original due date unless you notify and make a request to Mr. Silvestre for an extension.

*Exit Tickets should be done in a timely manner. They will only be accepted if they are completed before the allotted time. For example, I will have you turn it in at 10:05AM, if it is not turned in by 10:05AM, you will receive a zero unless you notify me with a reasonable excuse. They take less than 30 seconds to do and you get five free points. These points add up. :)

Attendance / Tardy Policy

Students are to be prompt, and regular attendance is expected.

***Log in a few minutes before the online class/meeting begins.***

Participation from you builds a rich community within the class and school. Please contact me if you will be late or absent.

***It is your responsibility as the student to contact me if you are absent and need to make up an assignment.***

***Be engaged and interactive during the classes. Have fun***

Your attendance will enhance knowledge and your grade.

Three tardies will result in a detention.
