BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina on January 1954 and lived in Doboj from 1955-1992. I studied mathematics in Sarajevo and received my diploma in 1977. I received my Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Zagreb's University in 1988 with the thesis entitled "Riemann Stieltjes integral in Banach algebra." My doctoralat dissertation “Stieltjes integral in Banach spaces" I defended Zagreb's University in 1990 and subsequently received a Doctor of Science degree in Mathematics. In this dissertation, I introduced multilinear (Stieltjes-type) integral and proved the existence in the Moore-Pollard sense, Riemann sense and Young sense. Completely new theorems were given describing the occurrence of functions under the integral sign having common discontinuities.

Beginning on March 31, 1977, I worked as a teacher of mathematics, first as a gymnasium teacher and then, from October 1989, as a university lecturer. From October 1, 1989 to July 31, 1994, I worked as a lecturer at the University of Tuzla. On March 1, 1991, I became a Docent of Mathematics at the University of Tuzla. I taught mathematics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and the Faculty of Pedagogy. I gave lectures in the following fields of mathematics: analytical geometry, analysis, complex analysis, linear algebra, integral calculus, differential equations, differential geometry, vector analysis, numerical mathematics and statistics, Laplace transforms and Fourier transforms.

From July 1, 1996 to June 30, 1999, I worked as an associate professor (universitetslektor) of mathematics at the Royal Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan), Stockholm, Sweden, and gave lectures in linear algebra, calculus, complex analysis, differential equations and transforms, and mathematics for engineers.

From July 1, 1999 to Aug 31, 2000, I worked as an associate professor(universitetslektor) at the University College of Gävle (Högskolan i Gävle). I taught courses in calculus (Diff och int 1, 2, 3), transforms, (Transformetoder), discrete mathematics (Diskret matematik) and mathematics for engineers.

From Sep 1, 2000 to 31 Jan 2022 I worked at KTH ( Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan, Royal Institute of Technology ), Stockholm. Retired on February 1, 2022.
