A guide to pass levels after level 4,500
Game levels become progressively more difficult, and sooner or later players can hit a block. Most players hit their first block at around level 4,500~5,000.
Here is a guide to build a formation for the last 1,500 levels of the game.
Hohenheim has the ability to gain extra coins in leveling. With a level 7 Hohenheim, a player can typically earn 1,000 more coins per level. Even if a player keep losing in a level, the extra coins can accumulate to significant wealth. Players are therefore strongly encouraged to use Hohenheim in leveling whenever possible.
Leveling with Hohenheim can be exceedingly difficult after level 5,200. To pass a level, the player needs to use one or several tricks to get the game to lag.
The easiest way is purchasing the VIP subscription. With it, players can speed up battles, and the 2Ă— speed alone is often enough to help a player pass levels.
Play the game when the device has low battery.
Use an old phone that has been collecting dusts in the attic.
Use an emulator to play the game.
Fill your formation with many high-level Peltasts and Frost Archers. These troops are inherently laggy.
If you are unable to pass levels with Hohenheim for any reason, then Davison is your best option. Davison's passive skill boosts health and attack of friendly units and also reflects damage from enemy units. Note that hero skills are only in effect when the hero is alive. If your Davison is at a low level, turn off AUTO so that he does not swoop into the enemy and die too quickly.
Whether you use Hohenheim or Davison, you need a strong army formation to pass a level. Below are some basics:
Put your hero on either the left side or the right side.
Use only 9-load troops (except for catapults and ice mages).
Use as many Goblikazes in the first line as possible. If you do not have enough Goblikazes, use Catactuses or Paladin to tank for your main offensive troops.
Put your best melee troops behind the tanks. Use the following troops in order of preference:
Undead Soldier,
Paladin
Harbinger or Fire, Inquisitor, and Cactuses
If you have level 7 or 8 Peltasts, put them along side your Undead Soldier.
Emphasize attack by putting your best troops in the front line. Use minimum troops for back-line defense.
Use two to three squads of Ghost Assassins to distract enemy's range units in the beginning of battles. Use 6 to 8 squads of Magic Apprentices if possible.
Use at least one row of Catapults. If you do not have enough Catapults, use Ice Mages as substitutes.
Use at least one line of Archers and Frost Archers. Bandits can be used as substitutes.
