Information on the Horus event
Event starts at UTC 2020-06-23
Events ends at UTC 2020-06-29
A player can reasonably expect to obtain 8 Horus shards for an average cost of 2,415 gems per shard.
For 200 spins, a new player can get a level 2 Horus at worst or a level 4 Horus at best. In the arena, there is not much difference between the two.
This is a very difficult question as Horus is an untested hero.
On paper, Horus is a great counter against the current meta, which is range attacks. At level 11 or above, Horus will also devastate an army that relies on Undead Soldiers. It's very possible that, when top players begin to get high-level Horus, the arena will become very different from what it is now.
However, we do not know if Horus will be available in future event. Players may have to pay to get shards after this event. So free-to-play players may want to sit this out.
One bonus hero shard after 25 spins
One bonus hero shard after 100 spins
Two bonus hero shards after 200 spins
Each spin has 1.6% chance of landing a hero shard
Each spin has 0.4% chance of landing two hero shards
Each spin has 10% chance of landing an extra free spin.
Each spin has 18% chance of landing a bonus coin ticket. With bonus coin tickets, a player gets double the coins for each win (the tickets do not apply on loses), therefore allowing players to obtain coins and gain troops faster.
The event allows a player to obtain meteor golem, brawlers, and magic apprentices. All three troops are frequently used by players in the arena.
Each player can spin the wheel 200 times everyday
After a certain number of spins, the player can claim bonus from the chest.
The bonus is one-time only. It does not get reset each day.
For the most optimal result, 200 spins are needed.
Use your first free spin
Use your first discounted spin of the day.
Do 200 spins in one setting.
Toward the end, use raffle tickets so total number of spin is multiple of 5. If, for example, you have spun the wheel 196 times, you need to wait for the next day to do the next round of 5 spins.
Do not do single spins.
If you just want to collect a new hero but don't intend to use it, you can do 25 spins.
Nobody can stop you. But consider the following:
For the first 200 spins, the expected cost is 2,415 gems per shard.
If you wait for the Card Master event, you can get more shards for the average cost of 2,700 gems per shard.
If you keep spinning the wheel, the expected average cost is 4,830 gems per shard.
