A brief introduction of clans
A clan is a organized group of game players who interact with each other outside of the game. Most AoW clans use either Discord or Facebook for social networking.
A clan usually has one leader and a few senior members who assist with managing the group. A clan usually has a set of rules that everyone must follow. While rules may vary with each clans, generally the rules are:
players need to be active in playing the game,
players need to be respectful to each other, and
players must not cheat
While most clans do not require their members to be competitive, members are encouraged to have some level of social interaction with each other. If you like to discuss different tactics of the game with other players or just hang out with other players, consider finding clan that you like and join it.
The best way to join a clan is to join AoW's official Discord server and talk with other players. Talk to clan members and get to know them. Clan is about socializing. Only join a clan if you like its members and culture.
Leaving a relationship is harder than getting into one. When you join a clan, there is usually a trial period which allows you to familiarize yourself with the clan's rules and values. Commit yourself to a clan membership only if you feel comfortable.
If things simply do not work out after you join a clan, make sure you leave in amicable terms.
