Information on the 2020-06-30 card master event
Event starts at UTC 2020-06-30
Events ends at UTC 2020-07-06
Each player can play up to 15 rounds of card games.
With each round, the player can flip to up 9 cards. The first flip costs 300 gems. After that, each flip costs 600 gems.
After the player flipped the desired card, the player can tap RESET to start a new round.
On average, the cost per shard is 2,700 gems. Players need about 40,500 gems to get 15 hero shards.
If you are a free-to-play player, you should play card master if you have already invested heavily in one of the legendary heroes featured in the event. Otherwise, it may be better for you to save your gems for a wheel of fortune on either Poseidon or Davison.
Poseidon if you are not sure
If you are short on gems, it is generally better to wait until the last day of the event to play the card master.
Before starting each round, make sure you have enough gems to flip 9 cards (5,100 gems), which is the worst case scenario. You do not want to be in a position where you are one flip away from a hero shard but are out of gems.
Check how many shards you need to upgrade your hero. You may not need to play all 15 rounds.
Apollo attacks enemy units from a distance. In arena, his range attack is valuable because he can survive a battle longer for his passive skill to take effect. Apollo is an all-rounder and can be used in leveling, Cyclops honor hunting, and arena.
Besides hero events, players can get Apollo shards from rewards in Honor Hunting and Arena as well as Super Card Packs. Apollo is therefore somewhat a bargain hero.
Poseidon deals heavy damage to enemy units at start of battle and then ambushes the enemy from behind. Although a low-level Poseidon can be killed easily, his initial attack could help turn the tide of a battle.
Poseidon is one of the top heroes in arena. Of the four heroes featured in this event, Poseidon is the best choice for new players.
Nezha is an arena specialist.
Prior to this event, the highest level of Nezha in arena is 8, so his true potential remains to be seen. Many players have commented that Nezha is a beast in arena and some avoid fighting against Nezha.
Chione is a great counter against Zeus and Selene, two of the top heroes in arena right now (watch this video compilation).
Although Chione and Nezha are released at the same time, this is Chione's first event but Nezha's third event. If you are a top player looking to add another premium hero, use this event to cut down the cost of buying.
