Here are included all the families traditionally treated as araneoids, except for the palpimanoid family Palpimanidae, which is here included because phylogenetically Palpimanoidea is apparently one of the sister groups of Entelegynae, at whose base we can also find the Araneoidea. Because of this, and to the ease of navigation, it was decided to unite them as 'Araneoids+'.
