Addressing Suspected Plagiarism

1. Evaluate Potential Plagiarism - Upon examining the SafeAssign report, if you suspect plagiarism, promptly consult the AQ Office for further guidance.

2. Document Findings – Be sure to keep detailed records of your observations, findings, and interactions with the student to support any actions taken.

3. Follow AQ Office Recommendations - The AQ Office will assess the student’s work and advise on the most appropriate course of action, which may include:

• Discussion between instructor and Student – Recommendation to initiate a dialogue to clarify the situation and potentially allow for assignment resubmission with proper citations.
  
  

• Meeting with AQ Director - In more serious cases, this could result in the immediate removal of the student from the course without the reimbursement of fees.
