As an AQ instructor, you will need to understand how to properly navigate the full grade center. This section will explain some of the important features of the grading center.
You will access the Full Grade Center by clicking on the link in the menu on the left-hand side of your screen.
1. Find the Course Management section of the main menu
2. Click on Grade Center to open the drop-down menu options
3. Click on Full Grade Center
You can access items to grade by finding the Grade Center link in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. From this link, you are able to grade tasks in a number of different ways:
1. Click the Needs Grading link which will show you a listing of all items which have been submitted and require your marking.
2. Click the Full Grade Center and manually enter grades.
For more information about entering grades, see the video below.
In the 'Full Grade Center', the 'Final Grade Column' lists a student's cumulative grade. When the AQ Office sets up courses, we keep this column hidden from students. This ensures that our office has the opportunity to verify all final grades before releasing them to students. Please leave the 'Final Grade Column' hidden in your course.
Sometimes you may want to organize the grade center columns so that they are in a different order. This is a simple thing that you can do yourself!
1. In the Full Grade Center, find the top toolbar and click on the button that says 'Manage'.
2. On the drop-down menu that appears, click 'Column Organization'.
3. Scroll down the page to the section that says, 'Not in a Grading Period'. Here you will see all of the grade center columns.
4. Simply click on the multi-arrow icon (highlighted in yellow in the picture to the left) and drag to reposition the various columns as required.
