It is important to ensure grades are consistent across all grade sheets. For example, the grade showing in the 'Final Grade Column' should be the same as the one entered in your final grade Excel sheet.
While a grade may appear with a decimal point in Blackboard, it is important to note that decimals cannot be entered on the Final Grade excel sheet or on the MyTrent portal. Therefore, grades must be rounded when necessary to the nearest whole number.
How to Round Grades
Grades should always be rounded to the nearest whole number (e.g., rounding UP if the grade is .50 or higher and rounding DOWN if the grade is .40 or lower).
The only exception to this rule is when working with a grade that is 99%. In this case, you will always round down to 99% rather than rounding up to a perfect 100%.
