Petition 2017/263 of Greg Rzesniowiecki: Provide Julian Assange permanent political asylum in New Zealand Report of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee November 2018

The Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee has considered Petition 2017/263 of Greg Rzesniowiecki, requesting:

That the House of Representatives urge the Government to provide Julian Assange with permanent political asylum in New Zealand, including a guarantee of safe passage from the United Kingdom to New Zealand.

This petition is the same as Petition 2017/187 which the committee reported on 26 October 2018.

We therefore have no matters to bring to the attention of the House.

We recommend that the House take note of our report.
