Since the last ice age, the fertile Mississippian river plain has attracted settlers. With the recent discovery of maize, however, a new golden age has dawned. Known for their unique earthwork architecture, the Mississippian peoples have colonised the region in relative peace and transitioned from hunter-gatherers into a booming city-building society. However, new pressures have begun to emerge on their kingdom. From the south and east, European invaders bring advanced technology and disease, displacing desperate indigenous peoples northward in search of a new home. To the north is the upstart Iroquois people, who look to become the dominant force in North America. Will you survive?
