Welcome to my translation portfolio. This website presents a selection of academic and practical translation projects completed during this course. It reflects my development as a translation student through the analysis and translation of texts from different fields, as well as the use of digital tools and platforms commonly applied in professional translation practice.

Introduction

The main focus of this course was to develop essential translation skills through theory-based analysis and hands-on practice. Throughout the semester, we worked on translating and analyzing texts from various domains such as literary, legal, medical, and specialized communication. The course also introduced the use of CAT tools, machine translation evaluation, and online platforms to simulate real-world translation tasks and professional workflows.

Conclusion

This portfolio represents the integration of Moodle-based learning activities and the organization of academic work through Google Sites. Moodle provided a structured learning environment with guided activities, assignments, and assessments, while Google Sites allowed me to present my work in a clear, professional, and organized way. Together, both platforms supported both learning and presentation skills.

The most interesting projects for me were the literary translation project and the translation contest analysis, as they demonstrated how multiple valid translation solutions can exist for the same source text. These activities helped me better understand stylistic choices, audience awareness, and the limits of machine translation when dealing with nuanced language.

To continue improving the course and my own learning, I would suggest including more peer-review activities and additional real-life translation scenarios, such as client briefs or revision tasks. Overall, this course strengthened my translation skills, critical thinking, and familiarity with professional tools, providing a solid foundation for future translation studies and practice.
