MY STRESS SIGNALS
1, How do you know that you are stressed?
I know I am stressed when I feel easily irritated, overthink too much, and lose focus on my tasks. Sometimes, I also experience headaches and tiredness even when I haven’t done much.
2. What stress signals do you have that your partner does not have?
Unlike my partner, I talk and express myself If I am stressed. I also lose motivation to do things I normally enjoy, while my partner usually prefers to stay silent.
3. How much stress do you think you are currently under?
I feel that I am under a high level of stress right now because of the heavy workloads and research requirements in school, along with the pressure of preparing for my college entrance exams. The fear of not passing adds even more weight, making me constantly anxious and sometimes doubting my abilities
4. How are your stress signals different for different types of stressors?
For academic stress, I usually lose sleep, feel exhausted, and even overwork myself just to meet deadlines. For emotional stress, I tend to isolate myself first and then later decide to vent out to my life group leader, which helps me release what I’m holding inside.
5. What are some ways that you usually remove or reduce the stress that cause you physical, emotional or behavioral difficulties?
I usually cope by talking to God, resting, listening to music, and venting to my most trusted person. I also try to manage my time better, pray for peace of mind, and sometimes distract myself with hobbies like drawing, watching movies, or journaling.
