Is there a ‘center’ or a central theme in your timeline and life? If you will give a title for your timeline what would it be and why?
The central theme of my timeline is growth through challenges. From modular learning, family sacrifices, and personal struggles, I learned resilience and maturity at an early age. If I were to give my timeline a title, it would be “Shaped by Struggles, Driven by Hope” because every obstacle pushed me to grow stronger and stay determined.
Identify the turning points in your timeline. What were the thoughts, feelings, and actions that you experienced?
The turning points in my life were when my mother went abroad, during the period of modular learning, entering the STEM strand, and meeting my first boyfriend. These experiences brought sadness, challenges, and intimidation at first, but they helped me mature early, regain focus, push harder in my studies, and grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
Who are/were the most significant people in your life? How did they influence you?
The most significant people in my life are my mother, who sacrificed for our family by working abroad; my father, who made me strong; my sisters, who supported me unconditionally and stood as my second mothers; my teachers, who guided me despite challenges; my friends, who stood by me during struggles; and my boyfriend, who motivated me and helped me grow. They influenced me by teaching resilience, giving support, and reminding me that I am never alone.
What would you change or add, if you could? How would each of these changes or additions affect your life, or even change its present course?
If I could change something in my timeline, I would take my studies more seriously during the modular setup so I would not have fallen behind in mathematical problem-solving and critical thinking, and because it could also affect my admission to college. If I could add something, I would have joined more extracurricular activities that could have helped me build confidence earlier. These changes might have made me more prepared academically and socially, possibly giving me a smoother journey in my studies.
Where do you want to be in a year, 5 years, and 10 years? What do you expect your future timeline will be?
A year from now, I imagine myself more confident in STEM and prepared for college. In five years, I hope to be completing my degree, beginning my career, and supporting my family. Ten years from now, I see myself established in my profession, living a stable life, caring for my loved ones, and inspiring others with the lessons from my journey, while also seeing myself as a successful married woman.
