When I think of a true servant leader, I think of Rhon Bethel Segampong, the founder and president of SYNTAX: Structuring and Yearning for Numerical Thinking and Analytical eXpertise. I know it may sound like I am being biased because he is my boyfriend, but honestly, I can truly see a servant leader in him. He shows that real leadership is about serving others first. Instead of chasing recognition, he prioritizes growth over prestige and always focuses on helping the people around him. He is humble, patient, and willing to listen, proving that being a leader is not about being above others but about walking with them and lifting them up.
In SYNTAX, Rhon’s leadership stands out even more. He doesn’t just manage the organization—he builds a community where members are encouraged to grow in academics, talents, and character. He gives chances for others to share their skills, inspires them to aim higher, and makes sure everyone feels supported and valued. Because of him, SYNTAX is not just a school organization but also a family where teamwork, confidence, and belonging can be found. Seeing how he leads with humility and service makes me proud of him, and it also inspires me to become a servant leader in my own way. He reminds me that leadership is not measured by power or prestige, but by kindness, service, and the positive difference you bring into the lives of others.
