1. Be kind to each other. We aim to make a positive and friendly community, so we have a zero-tolerance policy towards hate or harassment.
2. Do not discriminate. We welcome all races, genders, religions, and orientations. All people may play here. We do not tolerate those that would put others down.
3. Out of Character Conflict resolution should be handled privately not publicly, if you do not feel comfortable then do not hesitate to message an admin. If you are offended by anything on this server let us know.
4. In Character Conflict resolution should be handled in a mature manner. PvP is not supported on the server, if characters have a grievance with each other then work with your fellow players how you all would like the grievance aired and resolved.
5. Play fair. Metagaming, rules lawyering, targeting, cheating, all of these things are detrimental to other players and the game. Please refrain from doing them.
6. Avoid sexual talk and NSFW material. While the server is aimed for adults, we ask everyone to be considerate towards others and try to avoid being too risqué. Feel free to Invoke a ‘fade to black’ if things go in that direction.
7. Avoid oversharing. Be mindful that the average user may be looking for a more casual chatting experience. Do not share excessive personal details that may make people uncomfortable or derail the conversation.
Warnings & Bans.
We will issue warnings if a member infringes on any of the above rules or grossly violates our guidelines. In select cases, especially if rules 1 or 2 are infringes upon, we will forego warnings in favour of a ban. If someone infringes on the rules more than once, they may be temporarily muted (for an hour if the mods need to quickly check how to deal with the matter, for a week if it’s a clear repeat violation).
Be nice.
Apologize if you make a mistake. Listen to feedback. Make this a safe place for everyone. If someone else calls you out on a mistake you made, reflect on it, don’t double down. Be good and kind.
Be flexable.
Sometimes you won't agree with the stance of another character, or a party's decision. Debate's can be great character moments, but try to be flexible enough that you can at least carry on with the event. If you reach an issue your character would never budge on, try to work with your party for a compromise so you can progress on. Don't always take decisions at face value either, the world's more complex than that and alternative ideas can bear interesting fruit.
Listening in on games.
If you want to listen in on a game, make sure it’s okay with the people in the game voice channel. Ping someone (who is in the game voice channel) in #ingame-talk and ask them. They can check with others in the game whether they are okay with it.
If you join a voice channel to listen in to a game, please mute your mic BEFORE joining said voice channel.
The mods are your friends.
The mod team tries to keep this server running as smoothly as possible. Respect them in their capacity as server staff. Occasionally they may step in in a mod capacity to warn other members that they’ve infringed on a rule or to keep arguments from escalating, but above all, they are here to keep everything safe and fun and running smoothly, to ensure the best possible experience on the server. If you are having a problem, any problem, please reach out to a mod. We will listen. If a mod reaches out to let you know about a breach of the rules, please listen and be respectful. You’re not a bad person, making mistakes isn’t bad, but not acknowledging your mistakes might end with you getting banned. A decent response is something like: “I’m sorry, I didn't mean to . I'll work hard to make sure I don't anymore.”
This list is not an end all be all rules list.
We try to be as comprehensive as we can with rules but sometimes situations may come up that don't fall under what is covered here. That does not mean they will be ignored.
