During the class, we saw that a good interpreter prepares in advance: they research the topic, learn key words, and practice anticipating what the speaker will say.

This work also helps improve memory, manage timing, and control the voice. The best way to progress is step by step: start with easy exercises, then try different rhythms, and finally practice with more difficult speeches.

The real goal is not to repeat words, but to convey the meaning and intention of the message so that people who speak different languages can understand each other well. With constant practice and by correcting our mistakes, we can become that bridge that connects cultures and people.

La traducción simultánea no solo trata de saber los dos idiomas, sino de tener rapidez mental, buena concentración y usar técnicas que nos permitan escuchar, entender y hablar casi al mismo tiempo. Durante la clase vimos que un buen intérprete se prepara antes: investiga el tema, aprende palabras clave y practica cómo adelantarse a lo que va a decir el orador.

Este trabajo también ayuda a mejorar la memoria, controlar los tiempos y manejar bien la voz. Lo mejor es avanzar poco a poco: empezar con ejercicios fáciles, luego probar diferentes ritmos y, al final, practicar con discursos más difíciles.

El verdadero objetivo no es repetir palabras, sino transmitir el sentido y la intención del mensaje, para que las personas de distintos idiomas puedan entenderse bien. Con práctica constante y corrigiendo nuestros errores, podemos convertirnos en ese puente que une culturas y personas.
