Mission Statement

Helping students reach their unique potential through individual, flexible, and structured educational experiences designed to challenge, introduce career, and college opportunity readiness that contributes to individual success.

Alternative Education is a different approach to learning with a focus on the strengths of the students. Whether they are visual, tactile, auditory, or special learners Alternative Education is a place to learn about and develop those strengths within the learner. At the 4th Door community we also value the social influence model of behavioral study as well as take a social / emotional approach to learning. The following social emotional aspects lead the content standards of the curriculum.

Through WACUP sessions (listed below) we address concerns and share ideas in the classroom as a group. This is a social time for students to get to know each other and learn to support their peers to enhance the environment as a whole.
