Assignment 10

ASSIGNMENT #10

Going through the poetry seminar, now you have been exposed to Poetry terms, and different Poetic Devises, you’ve looked at different form and different genres. Now is your chance to really write. Think about all the tools that you have at your disposal, now and show me your best poetry (and remember—I know what you are capable of).

MY POETRY JOURNAL:

This journal will round out the Poetry Portfolio you have been compiling (and also will fulfill the English portfolio Poetry requirement)—it is really your chance to show me what you’ve got, and what you love. You will compile a journal of 20 poems of your choosing, but I expect to see variety, and some evidence of devises you have learned throughout the course. The can be free-verse, rhyming, paragraph-style...it’s your show!

Remember...writing is an exercise in communication—therefore, after every 5 poems you write, we will sit down and share/ critique with the group—this will aid you with ideas, and just give encouragement along the way!

Use the Poetry Rubric attached to self-evaluate your own work:
