Weekly Assignment

Your Assignment this week is to take a picture using the information below. Try to adjust some of the settings on your camera to create a cool effect. Post 3 of your favorite pictures in your Portfolio and participate in the discussion questions this week.   Many good photographers will tell you that it takes 100's of shots to find that one photo that is great. So take many, many photos and find the best three to display.   This is really cool information to have (especially, if you have a digital camera). You can have more fun with a digital camera if you understand a little about how the traditional (film) camera operates.   Read the information on Understanding ISO

Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO & Light

Examine these photos with your teacher. Given what you have learned.... What do you think the Aperture would be for the shot taken? How about the Shutter speed? Can you speculate as to whether it would be a quick or slow shot? Can you speculate how open the camera is to letting light in? There may be a test!
