Learning Differences 

Standard #2 Learning Differences – The teacher uses understanding of individual differences and diverse cultures and communities to ensure inclusive learning environments that enable each learner to meet high standards.

 INTASC #2 Interpretation - Every student and learner is different and the more teachers can understand that the more effective of a teacher they will be. Students also come from different culture and backgrounds and it is important to learn and understand that about your students. This helps to give learners an environment that they feel conferrable to take risks and make mistakes.  

Artifacts - These artificates come from Reading Responces to the book Refugee by Alan Gratz. Refugee follows three children refuggee's and their families. Josef and his family are esscaping the Holocaust. This book brings together three different cultures and ideas into the classroom and allow students to make connections between the characters and with themselves. The character anylasis anchor chart provides visual and kinistetic learners the ability to color and make a grahpic about their character. While the playlist plays to the auditory learners. Music is universal and you do not have to understand what the words are saying to understand how the music makes you feel.

This allows students to make connections from the characters to music. This allows all students to participate. Music can be from any culture or genres.

This allows students to use the upper levels of Bloom's Taxonomy while creating a picture, graphic and conecting clues within the story.
